On these trips, you can expect to bottom fish using light tackle. For the more adventurous among you, there's spearfishing.
Trips with Diver's Fishing Charters Hobart are fun for all ages, so get 'em offline and onto the water! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. You're welcome to bring snacks – luckily, Capt. Arnold will have some on board!
Capt. Arnold runs a 43' Catamaran with space for 15 passengers. It has all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
Your captain will provide rods and reels.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
You might need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's always wise to bring sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks provided on board.

I’ve been on a few fishing charters before, in both Miami and Toronto, but this guy is different. He’s very friendly, easy to talk to, and great to deal with. Unlike some of the guys in Miami who can be a bit rude and overly protective of their expensive equipment, he’s relaxed, welcoming, and genuinely wants you to have a great time. I really like this friendly guy, and I’ll definitely go fishing with him again next month or so. And yes, we caught a lot of fish!
