Born and raised on St. Thomas, Captain Kai has spent his entire life on these waters. Long before he became a professional captain, he was fishing, spearfishing, freediving, and sailing throughout the Virgin Islands; developing an instinct for the ocean that only comes from a lifetime of experience. With over 10 years of professional charter fishing and sportfishing experience, Captain Kai has earned a reputation as one of St. Thomas's premier fishermen. His extensive knowledge of the local reefs, wrecks, ledges, offshore grounds, currents, and seasonal fish movements allows him to consistently put guests on fish while creating an unforgettable day on the water. People often joke that Captain Kai knows the underwater topography of the Virgin Islands better than he knows the streets on land- and they're probably right. Every reef, drop-off, and hidden honey hole has a story, and chances are he's been fishing it since he was a kid. Whether you're chasing your first mahi, battling a trophy marlin, or introducing your family to the excitement of saltwater fishing, Captain Kai is passionate about sharing his local knowledge and ensuring every trip is safe, enjoyable, and memorable. For Captain Kai, fishing isn't just a profession- it's a way of life.
