If you're in the market for a day to remember, look no further than The Gum Adventures. Captain Brandon will be your guide, giving you access to their professional experience.
Blue Marlin, Roosterfish, Sailfish, Red Snapper, Jack Crevalle, Mahi Mahi, Amberjack, Tarpon, Goliath Grouper, Snook, Yellowfin Tuna, Great Barracuda, and more could be biting, depending on conditions. You can expect to do some spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
The fish caught are yours to take home, provided they're legal to keep. Catch cleaning is available, so you can take your fish home and throw it right into the pan. Make sure you have a cooler ready in the car!
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Don't forget to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
You'll be fishing aboard a 25' center console with space for 4 passengers. It has outriggers, and all the essentials. Capt. Brandon will supply rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen (non-spray). Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks provided on board.
The Gum Adventures will make it easy for you to go fishing in Golfito. So, how about booking that trip?
