Redfish, Speckled Trout, Snook, Black Drum, Sheepshead, Scallop, and more can be found in these waters, depending on when you go.
On these trips, you can expect to bottom fish using light tackle.
Families making of a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are permitted onboard, bring your favorites to keep them happy!
Capt. John welcomes you aboard a 24' Flats boat that holds up to 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without.
Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
You might need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

We definitely found the BEST captain!! John was great with our 12 y/o and helping him, was able to put us on fish, repeatedly, and we caught as many scallops as we could eat. John's boat was comfortable and well equipped. The misters were an extra bonus and much appreciated. Will definitely recommend him and will be back next scallop season!!

Full Day Inshore Adventure - 9:00 AM on January 17, 2026I highly recommend Captain John and Inshore Addiction charters. The boat has plenty of seating and is very comfortable while also allowing plenty of room to fish. The Captain taught my son and I a lot about how to catch and target redfish, trout and snook. It was a great day of fishing!

I’ve fished Homosassa for years and have spent plenty of time on the water, but I thoroughly enjoyed my trip with Captain John. The boat is comfortable, well-equipped, and one of the nicest fishing boats around. We stayed on fish, caught plenty throughout the trip, and had a great time doing it. The music, scenery, and overall experience made for a fun and relaxing day on the water. I highly recommend Captain John and Inshore Addiction Charters.

Captain JD is an experienced Citrus County Fishing Guide that spends countless hours on the water making sure that his clients have a great adventure on the water, not just fishing but caching fish.
