Med Fishing by Pier
If you're here to make the most of fishing in Bari, look no further than Med Fishing by Pier.
These waters are known for European Barracuda, Amberjack, Lobster, Dentex, and Bonito. Depending on the season and fishing conditions, you may have the opportunity to encounter these exciting local species—with any luck, you’ll have tight lines in no time!
You'll target your catch by spinning, trolling, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Capt. Pier runs a 22' Center console with space for 3 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without.
Capt. Pier will supply rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. It's customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunblock (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
