Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Dentex, Bluefish (Tailor), Albacore Tuna, Bluefin Tuna, Skipjack, Marlin, and who knows what else! On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Feel free to bring your own snacks to maintain your energy throughout the trip!
You'll be dropping lines from a 43' motor yacht with capacity for 12 passengers. It has downriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
It's recommended to bring sunblock (non-spray), a hat, and sunglasses. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks included on board.
