Bali Local Fishing welcomes you to the stunning waters of Bali. Our Crew will be your guide, allowing you to benefit from his local knowledge and professional fishing experience.

Giant Trevally, Pacific Barracuda, Yellowfin Tuna, and more may be biting if you visit at the right time of year. Depending on the conditions, you can expect to try trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or perhaps something more specialized in these productive waters.

Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life jackets, so please check in advance that the appropriate sizes are available on board. You're also welcome to bring snacks to keep everyone energized throughout the trip.

You'll be fishing from a 42-foot Astinor motor yacht or Sport yacht that can accommodate up to 8 passengers. The boat is equipped with downriggers, and everything you need for a productive day on the water. A toilet is available on board for your convenience. We provides rods, reels, and lures. Live bait may be available, but we recommend asking in advance so you know whether it will be provided or if you’ll need to catch it yourself.

Regulations vary, and some species may be protected or require special tags to keep, so check the current local rules or ask our crew for guidance.

Some essentials to bring include sunglasses, and non-spray sunscreen. Drinks will be available on board, but feel free to ask the captain if you would like to bring your own. Alcohol is permitted in moderation, but hard liquor and glass bottles are not allowed. Light snacks will also be provided.

We recommend bringing children 7 years old and above for the fishing trip. We also provide life jackets if needed. If your child is not used to the movement of the boat, we recommend that parents bring seasickness medicine just in case.

We had the pleasure of welcoming the lovely Louise family from New Zealand — a friendly, enthusiastic family of experienced anglers who were ready for another adventure on the waters. The weather was beautiful that day, with great conditions to enjoy the ocean. However, the current was unusually slow, the water was quite cold, and even our sonar showed very little fish activity below. We started at our first spot with jigging, hoping for an early strike. Interestingly, we had fished the same spot just one day earlier and had some great strikes there. But as we all know, fishing is never the same every day. Sometimes the fish simply have their own plans. After giving jigging a good try, we decided to change our strategy and switch to trolling. We also met several other anglers on the water who had made the same decision because the fish activity was not very aggressive that day. Finally, we were rewarded with one solid strike from a tongkol (skipjack tuna)! Although it wasn't a big catch, that single pull made the difference and reminded us why we love fishing — you never know what the ocean will give you. After the fishing session, the Louise family enjoyed some relaxing snorkeling around Nusa Dua before we wrapped up our half-day fishing trip. Thank you, Louise family, for bringing such great energy and positive vibes to the trip. Sometimes the ocean gives us plenty of fish, and sometimes it gives us a story to remember. Fishing is not always about the catch — it's about the adventure, the experience, and the memories we create along the way.
