Ruby Range Wildnerness & Fishing Lodge at Kluane Lake, Yukon.
Kluane Lake is one of Canada's largest glacial lakes, sitting deep in the Yukon's St. Elias mountain range. Talbot Arm is an arm of that lake — accessible only by boat from Destruction Bay or by floatplane and boat transfer from Whitehorse. There are no roads in. There is no cell service. There are mostly no, sometimes a few other guests sharing the water with you.
This is a self-guided, all-inclusive wilderness fishing lodge. We provide the cabin, all meals (breakfast and dinner), boats, rods, reels, and lures. The fishing is yours to run at your own pace, on your own schedule.
Species you'll be fishing for:
Lake Trout, Arctic Grayling, Northern Pike, Lake Whitefish, and Burbot. Methods include trolling, spinning, jigging, and bottom fishing. Fly fishing is possible — bring your own fly gear if that's your preference.
What's included:
Private cabin accommodation, breakfast and dinner daily, full boat access to the lake arm, rods, reels, and lures.
Alcohol, fuel, and transport to the lodge are not included.
What to expect from the lodge:
Rustic and genuine. Cozy Cabins with beds, a wood stove, a basic shared shower house, and a long-drop outhouse. No WiFi, no cell signal, no outlets running around the clock. If you're looking for resort comforts, this isn't the right trip. If you want an honest wilderness experience with serious fishing, it is.
Getting here:
Drive the Alaska Highway to Destruction Bay and arrange boat transfer, or fly into Whitehorse and arrange floatplane and boat access. Or let us do the full transfer and get picked up in Whitehorse. Full logistics details are provided after booking.
Licenses:
A Yukon fishing license is required and is not included. These can be purchased online at the Yukon government website before your trip.
Minimum stay: 3 nights. Group buyout of the entire lodge (up to 12 guests) available on request.
