OBX Fishing Co. – Shrimping is your ticket to the stunning waters of Manteo. With Captain Thomas at the helm, you'll be in knowledgeable and experienced hands.
Depending on conditions, you could hook Atlantic Croaker, Black Drum, Speckled Trout, Bluefish (Tailor), Redfish, and more. You'll also have the opportunity to catch shrimp and crabs during your trip.
Depending on the species you're targeting, you may be light tackle fishing or using more specialized techniques common to the area.
You'll be fishing aboard a 40' vessel that accommodates up to 6 passengers. It comes equipped with all the essentials needed for a successful day on the water.
Rods, reels, and tackle are provided. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Some species are subject to seasonal regulations and size or bag limits. Your captain will help ensure you stay within all applicable regulations.
It's always a good idea to bring bottled water, non-spray sunscreen, and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring additional drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but please avoid hard liquor and glass bottles.

The Captain worked hard to get us on fish. Spent half the time of our 4 hour trip trolling, the remainder of the time fishing an artificial reef a couple miles from the shoreline. Would highly recommend.
Captain Thomas was great. He took us shrimping and crabbing and was fantastic with the kids. We caught plenty. Would definitely go again.
Beautiful day for fishing. Loved the boat ride, seeing dolphins, and catching some bluefish!
We had a great time with Thomas. He did everything in his power to put us on the fish. He had tons of local knowledge and even extended our time so we could get the kids on more fish. Great boat! Great Captain! Highly Reccomend!
We booked knowing we wanted to catch fish and have a good time and we did! Totaled at 12 Blues & 3 Spanish Mackerels! Thomas was very helpful and did a great job!
