You can expect to do some trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Also remember to bring snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized!
Capt. Messinia Sailing runs a 51' Sailing with room for 10 passengers. It comes with outriggers, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
It's always wise to bring bottled water, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks provided on board.
