Rogue Charters
If you're ready to love fishing in Kodiak, we've got you covered with Rogue Charters.
These waters are known for Halibut, Chinook Salmon, Salmon, Coho Salmon, Pink Salmon, Lingcod, Rockfish, Drummer/Rock Blackfish, Black Rockfish, Cod, and more - with any luck, you'll hook into a few!
On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Young ones are welcome, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
Your vessel for the day is a 42' Catamaran that holds up to 6 passengers. It has downriggers, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
Rods, reels, and tackle are provided.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
Before coming aboard, it may be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's always wise to bring bottled water, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks for you on board.
Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. So make it happen, with Rogue Charters!
