If you're here to make the most of fishing in Willemstad, look no further than Waves Curaçao. Captain Ramvey will be your guide, which allows you to benefit from their professional experience.
Around here it's common to catch Yellow-edged Lyretail, Yellowfin Tuna, Yellowtail Amberjack, and more, depending on conditions.
Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself light tackle fishing, trolling, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Your boat for the day is a 29' Center console with room for 3 passengers. It comes with all the essentials.
Rods and reels are not supplied for you, so ask the captain about bringing your own or renting some for an extra cost. Be sure to ask about bait and lures as well.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. It's customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
You might need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's recommended to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
