Quepos has a fish with your name on it, so let Muñequita Charters help you catch it! Captain Hernán will be your guide, which means you'll tap into his knowledge and experience.

Amberjack, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Roosterfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Spanish Mackerel, Blue Marlin, Sailfish, Red Snapper, Black Marlin, Cubera Snapper, Broomtail Grouper, Striped Marlin, and more are in the cards, depending on the time of year.

On the day of your trip, you're likely to bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Hernán also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.

Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Don't forget to bring snacks to keep your energy up throughout the trip!

Capt. Hernán runs a 33' Wide Cabin Boat with space for 5 passengers. It has outriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials. There's also a toilet on board for your convenience.

Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is included, but it's a good idea to ask about this beforehand so you know whether you'll be catching it yourself.

You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.

Before coming aboard, you'll need to purchase a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.

Some essentials to bring are a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks are included free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor and glass bottles. Food and light snacks will also be included on board.
