Excited to go fishing in Los Cristianos? Then Windward Catch has a trip with your name on it! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Esteban Carlos is prepared to put you on fish.
These waters are known for Amberjack, Banded Rudderfish, Skipjack, Bowfin, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Horse-eye Jack, Spanish Mackerel, Sharpsnout Seabream, and more – with any luck, you'll have tight lines in no time.
During the trip you might be spinning, trolling, drifting, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Capt. Esteban Carlos operates a 20' Center console that holds up to 4 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water.
Rods and reels are not supplied for you, so ask the captain about bringing your own or renting some for an extra cost. Be sure to ask about bait and lures as well.
You might need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's always wise to bring sunblock (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Express Vertical Jigging on September 23, 2026The entire fishing trip was a smooth experience from start to finish. Esteban welcomed me aboard his very clean and well-organised boat, and we headed out for the morning. To my pleasant surprise, I was the only guest on board, which made the experience feel very personal. We mainly focused on vertical lure fishing, hoping to catch some snappers or groupers. Unfortunately that didn't work out, but at least we caught a few lizard fish along the way. We tried several spots and even did some trolling for bigger predators inbetween the stops, but it just wasn't happening that day. Still, Esteban and his colleague gave it their all, and we even extended the trip by nearly two hours. All in all, it was a great morning, and even though the trophy fish didn't play along, the hospitality of the crew and simply being out there on the water among dolphins, sharks and turtles will leave a lasting memory.

Trolling Fishing on September 12, 2026Esteban is very enthusiastic about fishing. You can tell he wants his clients to have a great experience. We caught a wahoo after 3 hours of trolling and the bite was super exciting. We will definetly book again with him. Totally recommended!
