Lake Athens is one of Texas’ premier bass fisheries, offering excellent Largemouth Bass opportunities throughout the year. Trips are tailored to current seasonal patterns and conditions, using techniques such as offshore fishing, shallow-water power fishing, finesse fishing, and forward-facing sonar.
With extensive tournament experience and numerous Top 10 finishes across the country, Capt. Tyler has competed at a high level on the BAM Pro Tour, including earning Angler of the Year last season. He brings that tournament knowledge directly to the boat, helping guests understand fish behavior, seasonal movements, bait selection, electronics, and effective decision-making on the water.
Trips take place aboard a fully rigged 20’ Phoenix bass boat, equipped with modern electronics and quality fishing equipment. The boat comfortably accommodates up to 3 passengers. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, so you can focus on fishing and learning.
Guests will need a valid Texas fishing license. We also recommend bringing weather-appropriate clothing, polarized sunglasses, sunscreen, snacks, and plenty of water. Texas weather can change quickly, so dressing in layers is always a good idea!
