Come explore the beautiful waters around Varallo with Andrea Carando Official Fishing Guide and discover some of the incredible fishing opportunities known to local anglers.
The main focus of these trips is fly fishing, with Andrea sharing his knowledge of the local waters and techniques throughout the day. Depending on your interests and the conditions, there may also be opportunities to try other fishing techniques or explore different spots along the way.
Depending on the season and conditions, you may have the chance to target Rainbow Trout and other local species. All fishing is strictly catch and release, making these trips a great choice for anglers who enjoy the challenge and experience of fishing while respecting the local waters.
Groups of up to 3 anglers are welcome. Fishing grounds are reached on foot, so be prepared for a more active adventure and bring only what you can comfortably carry. Fly-fishing equipment may be available to rent for an additional fee, but you should contact Andrea in advance to confirm availability and make sure you arrive fully prepared.
Since you’ll be walking to the fishing spots, comfortable and appropriate footwear is essential. We recommend layered, weather-appropriate clothing, polarized sunglasses, sunscreen, and plenty of bottled water. A light waterproof jacket is also a good idea, as mountain weather can change quickly. Bring only the essentials you’ll need for the day.
A local fishing license is not included, so members of your group may need to purchase one before the trip. Be sure to check the current local regulations and ask Andrea about any requirements or exceptions that may apply.
Whether you’re an experienced fly angler or simply looking for a new outdoor adventure in the Italian mountains, Andrea Carando Official Fishing Guide is ready to show you the beauty of Varallo from a completely different perspective.
Grab your gear, lace up your boots, and get ready to explore the waters of Varallo!

I had an amazing fishing adventure with Andrea. We explored different rivers and they were all so beautiful! We caught marble , brown and rainbow trout on dry fly and streamer. It was a beautiful experience and I will definitely be back to fish with Andrea again. A very experienced guide in this area. He had lots of knowledge to share and I feel I became a better fly fisherman because of his expertise! Highly recommend

Passionate about nature and wildlife, I have been fishing for over 20 years. I specialize in Spinning and Fly Fishing, pursuing native and wild trout, with a particular focus on the elusive and increasingly rare large Marble Trout. I also guide Carp Fishing sessions in lowland areas, targeting powerful big carp. My goal is to share emotions and unforgettable moments - those unique experiences that only nature can offer.
