Amberjack, Great Barracuda, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Black Grouper, Gag Grouper, Red Grouper, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Blue Marlin, Sailfish, Mutton Snapper, Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna, and more inhabit these waters, depending on the time of year.
On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Jordan can also have you kite fishing.
If you're traveling with the family, youwill be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Also remember to bring snacks to maintain your energy throughout the trip!
Your excursion begins aboard a 39' Sportfishing with space for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for some fishing! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

3/4 Day Trip on June 26, 2026This is my 5 th year of booking Key Largo Fishing Adventures on my annual vacation in June. They have never disappointed and always put us on the fish. More than filled the rack on a 6 hr trip with Mahi Mahi offshore and some nice snapper on the reef. Capt Jordan and Capt Bill do a super job for there clients.Already looking forward to my January sailfish trip . Thanks again guys for an excellent day.
