Based in Royalton, Minnesota, Evergreen Outfitting offers guided fishing trips on one of the most unique stretches of the Mississippi. Whether you're chasing hard-fighting Smallmouth Bass or looking for your first Musky, we'll build the trip around what you want to do and the conditions that day.
You'll fish from an Rock Proof or River Pro jet boat built for navigating the shallow, rocky water of the Upper Mississippi. The boat accommodates up to 2 guests, giving you plenty of room to fish without feeling crowded.
All rods, reels, tackle, and lures are provided. Beginners are absolutely welcome. Capt. Ben or Eric will be happy to teach techniques, help with casting, and put you in the best position to catch fish. Experienced anglers are just as welcome - we can get straight to fishing and cover water.
Smallmouth trips can include everything from topwater and moving baits to finesse fishing when the bite gets tough. If you're after Musky, expect casting, covering water, and the possibility of seeing some seriously big fish.
Evergreen Outfitting does not use forward-facing sonar while guiding. The focus is on reading the river, understanding fish-holding structure, and enjoying the experience not staring at a screen.
Bring a valid Minnesota fishing license, sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and whatever food or snacks you'd like for the day. Bottled water will be available, bag lunch provided for full days.

- Lunch (Full-day trips include lunch. Depending on the day and location, we’ll either provide a bag lunch or fire up the grill for a hot meal on the river.)
- River fishing (Mostly fishing the Upper Mississippi River between St. Cloud and Brainerd, targeting smallmouth bass and musky. We’ll work current, rocky shorelines, islands, and structure, casting throughout the day from my a jet boat.)
