Top targets include Bonefish, Leatherjacket, Humphead Wrasse, Cortez Bonefish, Roundjaw Bonefish, Golden Trevally, Bluefin Trevally, Permit, Milkfish, Bohar Snapper, Giant Trevally, Great Barracuda, and more, depending on conditions.
These trips commonly involve trolling and bottom fishing with light or heavy tackle. Capt. Teddy also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly-fishing gear.
Fishing is strictly catch and release, although you can have your catch cleaned.
Your vessel for the day is a 37' Panga that can accommodate up to 6 passengers. It comes equipped with the essentials for a day on the water.
Rods and reels are not provided, so ask the captain about bringing your own or renting them for an additional cost. Be sure to ask about bait and lures as well.
Your fishing license is covered by the charter, so you can simply arrive and get ready to fish. Keep in mind that some fish may need to be released due to local regulations. If you're unsure what to expect, ask the captain.
It's always a good idea to bring sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. Drinks and light snacks are available on board, but let the captain know if you'd like to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but hard liquor and glass bottles are not permitted.

The incredible variety of marine and freshwater species here makes Papua a world-class destination for sport fishing. Since 2008, I’ve dedicated myself full-time to guiding and exploring these waters as my profession. To this day, I believe I’m one of the only full-time fishing guides in Indonesia. My extensive experience covers virtually every fishing technique, giving me and my team the confidence and expertise to plan and run the ultimate fishing trip.

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 3 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
