Embark on your next angling adventure with Captain Chip Wingo and Fish Da Flats charters! Specializing in light tackle and flying the backwaters of northeast Florida, Capt. Chip is ready to take you on a trip of a lifetime out of Jacksonville Beach.
Capt. Chip grew up fishing the backwaters of northeast Florida, so it’s safe to say he’s the perfect person to guide you around these prolific waters. He welcomes anglers of all skill levels, from beginner to novice, to come discover what Florida’s flats have to offer.
You’ll be fishing from a 19’ Hewes Redfisher vessel, designed with flats and backcountry fishing in mind. Her shallow draft allows her to navigate the best spots for catching the local inshore species, and she can drift silently through the water thanks to her poling platform and trolling motor.
Capt. Chip’s vessel can accommodate up to 3 anglers, as well as the captain. Guests on board Fish Da Flats can take advantage of the boat’s forward casting platform, which gives an excellent view of the surrounding waters and allows you to really "stalk" your target fish.
These waters aren’t short of world-famous species, either! The fish you’ll be able to cast your line for include Redfish, Trout, Flounder, and Black Drum. You can even go after that Floridian favorite, Tarpon. Let your captain know if you’d like to bow down to the "Silver King"!
Capt. Chip will provide all the equipment, bait, and lures you need for a rod-bending adventure, as well as a valid fishing license for your whole group. Take a trip with Fish Da Flats and see for yourself why a Floridian fishing experience shouldn’t be missed!
