Murrells Inlet Outpost is a provider of high quality boating and outdoor supplies to the local area, and its experienced owner Captain Ned Campbell combines selling premium fishing gear with offering fishing charters for all the family. With a wealth of knowledge of the local waters to hand, he knows the most effective methods and gear to use to help you get the most of your time on the water.

Captain Ned runs fishing charters from Murrells Inlet Outpost aboard a 31 ft Contender center console. Powered by twin 300 HP Suzuki engines, the boat will not waste any time in getting to the best fishing spots. It has everything you need both for inshore and offshore fishing, and is fitted with outriggers, downriggers, and a live bait tank for the best fishing results. On board you will also find a portable toilet - a must for longer trips with the ladies!

Choose between fishing the nearshore and offshore waters aboard Murrells Inlet Outpost's Contender. On your trip, you could be catching Barracuda, Jacks, Sheepshead, Grouper, Snappers, Spadefish, , , , or even Marlin, depending on how far offshore you go and the time of year. Light and heavy tackle is available to use aboard this boat, and you could be instructed in techniques such as trolling, bottom fishing, jigging, and popping.

You will be provided with all the gear, bait, and tackle you will need for your trip, and the crew will be happy to clean your keeper fish once you return to land.

5 hr off shore trip with captain Ned
5 Hour Trip–20 Miles Offshore (AM) on August 23, 20236 adults
We had an excellent time on our fishing trip. We didn't hook up to anything large but captain worked hard to get us on fish that were fun to catch. We ended up catching a bunch of spade fish and for their size they fight hard. Over all we had a great time and still brought fish home. I have been on multiple charters in different states and Captain Ned is one of my favorites, he worked hard to get us fish. He was on his game with baiting hooks and taking fish off of hooks as well as navigating. Book with him and you won't be disappointed.

Great Captain!
5 Hour Trip–20 Miles Offshore (AM) on July 9, 20243 adults2 children
Captain Ned was patient and kind as three members of our crew were sea sick as soon as we reached the fishing grounds. The other two were able to fish and put some keepers in the box. All in all it was a good day.
