Blue Waters II Fishing Charters
Blue Waters II Fishing Charters are a fun and exciting way to experience deep-sea fishing in Miami, Florida. Trips are run by Captain John Barker and his son, a fun-loving duo with fishing in their blood. You can join them at Bayside Marketplace next to the AA Arena in downtown Miami. From there it’s a 10-minute run to the ocean for unforgettable fishing!
Captain John and his son operate a 45’ Hatteras, built in 1972 and restored in 2013. Powered by twin 350 HP Cummins Diesel engines, this vessel has a maximum cruising speed of 20 knots. She comes equipped with a standard selection of fishing technology and all the gear you need. On board, you will find comfortable seating, air conditioning, and a toilet.
While fishing off the coast of Miami, you can target big game species anywhere from two-and-a-half to 10 miles offshore. Depending on the season, you might catch Sailfish, Tuna, Cobia, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Snapper, Barracuda, and more. The crew specializes in a variety of fishing techniques, including kite fishing, trolling, bottom fishing, and deep dropping. Please note that fly fishing equipment is not available on the boat.
Capt. John provides tackle ranging from light to monster, featuring the craftsmanship of Shimano and other top-of-the-line brands. A fighting chair on board will help you reel in the hardest fighting fish.
You can come aboard for several hours to test the waters or enjoy casting lines all day. Capt. John also offers a “Fishing and Bay Ride” trip for families and beginners who want a chance to come aboard without committing to a day at sea.
Blue Waters II Fishing Charters include a license and gear. On board, you will find a cooler with complimentary bottled water and soft drinks. You are welcome to keep your catch and the crew will clean and fillet it for you after the trip. Several restaurants in the mall nearby can cook your catch for you, for a modest fee.
Come aboard today for a trip your whole family will enjoy!
