About the Captain

Member since October 2016
I have fished all my life in mostly freshwater until I was stationed in Okinawa with the Air Force, where I fell in love with scuba diving. Stationed here in Florida's Panhandle, I took up saltwater fishing and found I have a knack for it. After almost 22 years in the Air Force I decided to retire and start a charter with the two hobbies I fell in love with: fishing and diving.

Trip did not disappoint! Captain Tew was very professional and did a great job taking care of anything we needed. Biggest thing to me is he wanted to make sure we caught fish and did everything he could to make that happen. If you want a captain who loves fishing and wants to make sure his clients catch some rather than someone just content to take their clients’ money and say oh well if they don’t catch anything, Captain Tew is your man. When he says 2 to 12 hour trip, he means it.  He’ll fish as long as you want to. We’ll never forget that huge king (or at least half of it after the shark got done with him!). Thanks for a great day!

We wanted to catch a variety of fish, and we did! Captain James Tew is a knowledgeable, friendly, down-to-earth guy who worked hard with us and made our day wonderful! We’ll be going fishing with him next time we’re in town for sure.
