The crew of Coastal Charters is made up of extremely friendly and experienced anglers, who they pride themselves on paying attention to every single guest who comes aboard. They especially love teaching kids and beginners everything about the different fish species available in this area, as well as fishing techniques.
You’ll begin your adventure on board a 36’ Twin Vee catamaran, originally built in 2006 and powered by twin 300 HP Suzuki engines. This speedy beauty is painted in the area’s national colours and can fit up to 6 anglers. Bring along the whole family, or your best angling buddies!
She’s decked out with a GPS, radar, and VHF radio for connection with the USCG, as well as an excellent fish finder to help you locate the best fishing spots. She also contains all the necessary safety equipment you’ll need, including life jackets, a life raft, CPR-trained crew, and EPIRB. In addition, this vessel is equipped with a full toilet and bed and is wheelchair accessible.
Capt. Danny and his crew will take you offshore fishing in the rich waters of the Gulf of Mexico, where species such as Mahi Mahi, Blue and White Marlin, Tuna varieties, and Amberjack come to play. You’ll also be targeting Wahoo, Mackerel, Cobia, Grouper, Jack Crevalle, Rainbow Runner, and that local favorite, Red Snapper, depending on the seasonality. Your crew will show you the best techniques to use to hook your dream catch.

Extended Full Day Offshore Trip on July 15, 2020
Captain Blake and his mate Casey were fantastic. They were young but knew exactly where the fish were and how to get them in the boat. Captain Blake got our limit of Red Snapper (10) in less than 30 minutes. We threw back several nice ones and only kept the really large ones. We also got some Cudas, Kings and Mangrove snapper. Captain Blake knows what he is doing and related well with my three college aged grandkids. We came in with over 200 lbs of fish. Great Captain and mate. The best in Port Aransas by far. Thank you guys for a great trip.

This is the absolute best fishing charter I have ever been on, with every single stop captain Danny put us on fish within minutes. His deckhand Sharpee helping every single one of us to know what to do and how to handle each fish, we caught everything from Ling, to Kingfish to even Red Snapper. The crew was the funniest, most kind, and surely most memorable duo I’ve ever met in my entire life. This charter blew all my expectations out of the water being a million times better than I have ever could have imagined it. My group and I will surely be returning for many years to come.

This 8 hour trip with Captain Danny Dorman was, without a doubt, the most fun my family has had in a very long time. From start to finish Captain Dorman and his right-hand-man Jake were the best of professionals while making us feel like we were on the boat with long-time friends. Everything was perfect...and HOLY COW does this man know how to find the fish! He put us right on top of them every time. Double and triple hook-ups were normal. The boat was awesome too. Even though it was rough out, it was a very smooth ride. We will be going back with Captain Dorman as soon as we possibly can. It was a fishing trip of a lifetime!
