From the very minute we showed up to the dock, Captain Tim and Nick did everything under the sun to make our trip one that would be unforgetable. We showed up a little bit early and heard from the boat "Let's go guys. We're ready if you are". What a great way to start the day....30 minutes early! Our entire trip was catered to what we wanted to do, which was get meat on board. And that we did! After a brief stop to catch a little more live bait, we moved on to the first "hole" which was an instant hit. As our lines dropped, all six were immediatly making the sweet, sweet noise of fish on! This didn't stop for the entire day. There was not a single moment of the day that Capt. Tim and Nick weren't catering to our every need, whether it was baiting the lines, untwisting lines, helping the lady of the group to catch and Amberjack that weighed as much as her, or simply chatting with everyone during our moves to new spots, they both made our day very special. The humbleness and expertise of the Waterproof Crew is a sight to behold. After our long trip back to the dock, Captain Tim and Nick spent the next hour or more cleaning and bagging the days catch in the miserably hot Florida sun, all the while carrying on conversations and telling stories of all the people that we have, unknowingly, been mutual friends with for many years. As locals, it was really nice to hear all of the stories from other locals about all things Daytona. I also cannot say enough about the professionalism and sweet demeaner when dealing with Lisa. She was the most polite, sweet, and kindhearted person to deal with when it came to setting up our trip and making payment. If only everyone could be half as nice, this would be a much kinder world. Thank you, Lisa! Needless to say, we will be planning another trip with the Waterproof this fall for some bill fish action. I highly reccomend that everone experience a day on the water with Captain Tim and the Waterproof!! Just like the three people in our group who had never been offshore fishing before, you will have an absolute blast of a day! Seriously! You will most definitly be telling the stories for years to come. I still talk about the trip i took 15 years ago with Capt. Tim, and so too will this trip be talked about for decades and beyond.
