Reel Thang Charters OBX
Captian Will has charter fished for over 30 years in the Outer Banks. He is the ower and captian of Reel Thang Charters OBX that offers light tackle fishing trips on the Outer Banks and Oregon Inlet of North Carolina. The waters in and around Pamlico Sound are home to some of the nicest species around. The charter is located at Wanchese Marina, 4457 Mill Landing road.
The captain will take you out aboard a 27’ Parker center console boat. This beauty comes powered by a 300 horsepower Suzki engine and has a maximum cruising speed of 30 knots. Perfect for accommodating up to 6 guests, the vessel is rigged with modern navigational electronics, safety equipment, and a live bait tank.
The season begins in mid-April and runs till September Fishing the Outer Banks in summer is an exciting opportunity to catch Redfish, Bass, Speckled Trout, Seatrout, Black Drum, Bluefish, Flounder, and Cobia.
When relaxing in between the bites, you will get an opportunity to take in the beautiful scenery of North Carolina. Kids are also welcome to join the adventure. There is nothing like seeing a smile on a child’s face after that very first catch!
For your fishing trip, you will be provided with first-class light tackle, gear, bait, lures, and fishing licenses. If you decide to keep the catch, it will be cleaned and filleted for you at the end of the trip, ready to go home and jump straight into the frying pan. You can feel free to grab your favorite drinks and snacks.

3 Hour Inshore Trip (Mid)
Great Trip!
Capt. Will was awesome. We had been on a couple charters before, but never in the Outer Banks. Brought my wife and 2 sons. My older saw someone catch a red drum on the pier a couple days earlier and he really wanted to catch one. I asked Capt. Will if that's what we could do amd Capt. Will delivered. We caught 7! Everyone had a great time and Capt. Will and his boat were top notch. Highly recommend if you are looking for a great experience with a Capt. who knows his way around the outer banks.

Perfect trip
The captain was fantastic! We caught twelve red drum in three hours. My father, who is an experienced deep sea fisherman, and my seven year old son were both on the trip with us. I thought it might be challenging to get a charter that they would both enjoy. Inland was perfect for beginners and experienced alike! The captain was fantastic with my son. He can’t stop talking about it. If you are trying to decide whether to book a trip with Captain Will, do it! We were all very pleased with the experience!

Half Day Trip – Inshore (AM) MAX 6
Awesome Day
Got there and immediately found the boat at the front of the marina loaded up and headed out. We had a small dog and the first thing captain Will did was offer her a water bowl. We were fishing for trout and started hooking up at each spot we stopped at. We had a couple beginners that were struggling at first but the captain did a great job of correcting there technique and everyone caught multiple keepers. Thanks again!

3/4 Day Trip (MAX 4)
Cap'n will make it happen!
Captain Will came through again. Neither the dreary start or the State of North Carolina and their stupid fishing rules (no trout) could stop him! We tried for several different species and he put us on some Spanish Mackerel. We brought home a dozen and are now ready for a fish fry. This is the ONLY charter we use when we come to the OBX! Thanks again Captain!

Great 3 hour trip! Captain Will was great, super knowledgeable. Even with the hot weather and a slow bite Captain was still able to put us on some fish and send us home with a little dinner. Caught some nice keeper Speckled Trout.
