Play N Hooky looks forward to taking you on a Hawaiian Deep Sea Fishing Adventure. The charter is operated by Captain Teoni Black who also has decades of deep sea fishing experience in Hawaii.
You will fish aboard our 41-foot Hatteras Play N Hooky that is powered by two 380 HP Cummins engines. The boat is safe and powerful and contains all electronics and equipment needed for a successful trip. Onboard Play N Hooky has a large cockpit for fighting fish, a comfortable air-conditioned salon with seating, a kitchen, and a private restroom with toilet.
Your charter includes all the necessary fishing gear: Rods, reels, line, lures, tackle, equipment, bait, etc. Fishing will take place in the offshore waters of Oahu where we target Mahi Mahi, Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, Spearfish, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, Skipjack Tuna, and Big Eye Tuna.
You are welcome to bring any food and drinks you would like to have for your trip. There is a cooler, ice, and a refrigerator on board for your convenience. If you would like fish to eat, you are welcome to keep up to 50 pounds of your catch. The crew will fillet and bag this fish for you after returning to the dock. Fish over 100 pounds will not be cut into as these fish will be sold.
Please note gratuity is not included in your charter price, 20% is customary if you enjoy your fishing experience.

Half Day Trip (PM)
A fishing trip I'll never forget
The day started out slow, but to fill the time while trolling Captain Joe and his deckhand Jeff shared great stories and knowledge. Great guys to conversate with and I could tell they really wanted to get us on fish. All of a sudden mid conversation one of the rods went off and carnage ensued! We got into a striped marlin and it put on a great show. We got it up to the boat, tagged it and let it go so another group can catch it. We even got to name the fish (Rex). I wish I could do this fishing trip 1000 times. Great job guys!

Great captain and great crew.
We had a fantastic time. I chartered the Playin Hooky for a 4 hr trip. It was me and my 4 grandkids. The youngest grandson (15 yr old) caught a 20 lb Mahi Mahi. What a hoot! The capt and his 2 man crew couldn't have been more cordial and helpful. I certainly would recommend chartering this boat without reservation. Thanks so much guys!

3/4 Day Trip
A little choppy but fun!
We had a really fun day. It was windy which made the water pretty choppy but we ended up catching a flip Jack and a Mahi Mahi. Captain and crew were nice and worked hard. Enjoyable time

Perfect day, Perfect crew
Captain Joe and master angler Jack were perfect companions for our fishing trip. Knowledgeable and tenured on deep sea fishing made this trip very enjoyable. With these two it is true what they say…the harder you work the better your luck. They both were very diligent in search of our catch. Would fish again with these two in an instant!
