Giorgaros Fishing Tours Santorini invites you to experience traditional Greek fishing with an experienced local Greek captain. This is a family-run charter that has been in business for over 60 years, guiding guests on the beautiful waters of Santorini. They provide shared and private tours, and are able to show you the best sights this picturesque island located in the Aegean Sea has to offer.
You will fish aboard a 53’ traditional wooden boat, built in 2000 and fully restored in 2018 to prepare it for the upcoming seasons. The boat is powered by a 350 HP Daewoo engine, with a maximum cruising speed of 14 knots. The boat is roomy and comfortable and includes a seating area with 4 dining tables, a cabin with 5 beds, a toilet, a kitchen, and a great sound system.
The crew will provide all the necessary fishing equipment in the form of fishing rods, nets, traps, baits, snorkeling equipment, fishing tourism licenses for security – fire safety, and life jackets for adults and children. You will have a tour guide who speaks Greek, English, and Arabic. The tour guide also communicates in Italian and French.
Your trip will take you fishing for many desirable species such as barracuda, lionfish, sea breams, skipjack tunas, tonitas, amberjacks, Spanish mackerel, mackerel, parrot fish grouper, rockfish, prawns, octopus cuttlefish. You will use nets, fishing rods, fishing traps, and longlines. The shared charters allow you to catch plenty of medium-sized fish.
Book a private or shared tour in the morning, at sunset, or a full moon night tour. Your catch will be cooked on board for a delicious meal of lunch or dinner, and you will have drinks too.
