This trip offers you and your crew the chance to hook into hard-fighting Stripers and Bluefish in the scenic waters of Boston Harbor and surrounding islands. With over 40+ years of local experience , Captian Joe knows every ledge,tide line,and tricks to get you a bite.
You’ll be fishing aboard a fully loaded 31’JC sportfishing boat comfortably equipped for up to six guests.
The boat features, modern electronics, including GPS radar,and liferaft, along with an enclosed head (toilet) and plenty of cushion seating both inside and out of the sun. Whether you’re chasing fish or cruising from spot to spot, you’ll be doing it in comfort and style.
Trips typically run multiple rods 3-4 (at a time) depending on conditions- like tides,
wind and sea state-you’ll be bottom fishing, trolling, drifting, or casting light tackle.
Live bait is included in the trip cost, and on some days you might even catch the bait yourself as a part of the experience ..
Captain Joe is a “straight-shooter” who will give an honest read on the days conditions an tailor the trip to your group’s experience levels.
Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned angler, he’ll be happy to share tips and techniques that come from a lifetime on these waters.
You’re welcome to catch and release or keep any legal fish you land at the end of the trip.
Captain Joe or his mate will clean and fillet your catch so you can enjoy the freshest seafood possible-straight from the ocean to your table.
All gear,bait,and licenses are provided.
Just bring your food and drinks, a good attitude and Captian Joe will handle the rest.

7 Hour Fishing Trip Inshore
Want a great fishing experience? Get out on the water with Captain Joe!
Captain Joe and mate Artie not only put myself and my 12 year old son onto fish right out of the gate but they both were really attentive in teaching my son about the fishing techniques and keeping him interested all day long. It was his very first time saltwater fishing and by the way, we crushed the strippers that day catching two dozen mature fish. You can really see their passion for catching trophy stripper's that even when our charter was about up, Joe said let's go find a couple more, and as he predicted we caught another few to ensure we ended our trip in excitement. I am an experienced fisherman who has been on many fishing charters all across the country and I can say if you truly want a great experience go see Captain Joe and make great memories with your crew. Fish of a lifetime
It was a dream come true fishing with captain Joe and his great deck hand. Being from Ireland and growing up seeing fishing for stripers on TV it’s always been an ambition of mine to catch a big one when visiting the states. Joe put us on the fish with a 45lb fish the best of the day . We had lots of takes and landed plenty of fish , we kept a couple and released the rest to fight another day . Joes boat is spotless and very comfortable too. I’ve fished all over the world and Joe is up there with one of the best skippers I’ve fished with. I’d highly recommend him and his boat. Great time for my son's birthday
A group of four of us went out with Captain Joe and First Mate Artie to celebrate my son's birthday and we had a great time. The crew worked hard to get us on the stripers, and after a bit we hit them pretty well. They kept the lines in the water as much as possible, kept the bait fresh, and just made the experience so memorable for all of us. Would definitely go out with them again!

Fish Tails Charter out of Winthrop, MA. Is amazing! Capt. Joe and Artie did it up for me and my son! First class all the way! The extra effort they put in before we arrived paid off in huge fish ways!! We not only caught some mackerel for bait which was crazy fun, but some massive stripper. Capt. Joe and Artie knew all the spots and what the fish loved. Could not have asked for a better time. We will 1000% book them again when we make another trip to Boston!! Thanks Capt. Joe and Artie for everything!!

Best Fishing Trip, Ever
I didn't have a lot of time but had high hopes. Not necessarily to catch a multitude of fish but to create memories with family on our trip to the Boston area. Captain Joe of Boston Fish Tales is an amazing man. He sensed what we we were really after and helped make it happen. He had the bait ready and a plan in mind. He worked hard to make this a fantastic day. We did create memories...and, yes, we caught a lot of awesome fish.
