Niche Fishing Charters offers trips out of Cortez, Florida, that will not disappoint. Perhaps what makes Niche Fishing Charters unique is that they are one of the few companies that offer a special package for Active Duty and Former Military Veterans at unbeatable rates. Each day out on the water with the Captain and his crew is all about a lot of action, fish, and a ton of stories.

Enjoy your ride with Niche Fishing Charters aboard a brand-new 26-ft Yellowfin center console, which comes powered by twin 200 HP Mercury Verado engines. The boat has a maximum cruising speed of 50 knots and can comfortably take up to six anglers. Its navigational electronics include a fish finder, a VHF radio, a GPS, and a radar. The vessel is equipped with a live bait tank, and a flybridge to aid your search for the fish.

Depending on the season and the weather conditions, you can go fishing up to 50 miles offshore, inshore the Sarasota Bay, nearshore, the reefs, wrecks, and flats. The well-trained and experienced crew are very familiar with the methods that work best for the local waters, including bottom fishing, light and heavy tackle, drift fishing, trolling, and spinning.

Your main targeted species will include Amberjack, Mutton Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, Goliath Grouper, Black Grouper, Gag Grouper, Red Grouper, King Mackerel, and Spanish Mackerel.

Each trip with Niche Fishing Charters comes inclusive with all the necessary fishing equipment to put your catch together. The Captain will provide you with rods, reels, tackle, lures, and live bait, as well as the fishing licenses for you and your party. Once caught, your fish will be cleaned and filleted for you to take home with you after the trip and have for dinner later or just store in the freezer. You will also be offered water, so feel free to bring your snacks with you if you want.

We love the water and helping people discover what real Florida fishing is all about. Fishing with active duty and former military personnel is a great opportunity for us and they always receive special treatment on our boats. We have honed our skills as private and charter captains on both the east coast and west coast of Florida as well as the Bahamas. We like the west coast best.

I just have to say if you want a trip with an honest and genuinely good crew you’ll definitely book with Captain Zac and his first mate :) We went during red tide which was a natural hinderance for fishing but the Captain still made it possible for us to catch something we could bring back. Totally went out of his way.

He called me Wednesday and Friday before the trip, to make sure we had everything we needed. It was awesome he didn’t leave us in the dark to begin with.

Him and Rick are really awesome, helpful, and patient. This was my first time fishing out in any body of salt water. So let’s just say, I didnt really know what I was doing :)

They provided everything we needed to have a successful trip. We brought snacks, sunscreen, and anything other than water to drink.

We definitely look forward to coming back so we can fish with Captain Zac again. Ill recommend him to any and everyone I know that may come this way.

Thanks for fishing with us Brittany.   We enjoyed the company and the opportunity to show you guys the ropes in saltwater fishing.  We are looking forward to your return trip and hope that mother nature will be better behaved then.

Thanks.

Been lucky enough now to go out three times with Captain Zac and 1st mate Nick.  Always a fun time and learning experience. Dog days of summer meant fewer bites than usual but fellow fishermen Bob & Chris also enjoyed the outing and catching some grouper too!

Bill,

It was great to see you guys again.  Your group certainly know how to entice a fish onto the line and the conversations between bites are always enlightening and entertaining to say the least.  Looking forward to the next chance to spend some quality fishing time together.

Thanks.

Zac
