Perhaps what makes Niche Fishing Charters unique is that they are one of the few companies that offer a special package for Active Duty and Former Military Veterans at unbeatable rates. Each day out on the water with the Captain and his crew is all about a lot of action, fish, and a ton of stories.

Enjoy your ride with Niche Fishing Charters aboard a brand-new 26-ft Yellowfin center console, which comes powered by twin 200 HP Mercury Verado engines. The boat has a maximum cruising speed of 50 knots and can comfortably take up to six anglers. Its navigational electronics include a fish finder, a VHF radio, a GPS, and a radar. The vessel is equipped with a live bait tank, and a flybridge to aid your search for the fish.

Depending on the season and the weather conditions, you can go fishing up to 50 miles offshore, inshore the Sarasota Bay, nearshore, the reefs, wrecks, and flats. The well-trained and experienced crew are very familiar with the methods that work best for the local waters, including bottom fishing, light and heavy tackle, drift fishing, trolling, and spinning.

Your main targeted species will include Amberjack, Mutton Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, Goliath Grouper, Black Grouper, Gag Grouper, Red Grouper, King Mackerel, and Spanish Mackerel.

Each trip with Niche Fishing Charters comes inclusive with all the necessary fishing equipment to put your catch together. The Captain will provide you with rods, reels, tackle, lures, and live bait, as well as the fishing licenses for you and your party. Once caught, your fish will be cleaned and filleted for you to take home with you after the trip and have for dinner later or just store in the freezer. You will also be offered water, so feel free to bring your snacks with you if you want.

We love the water and helping people discover what real Florida fishing is all about. Fishing with active duty and former military personnel is a great opportunity for us and they always receive special treatment on our boats. We have honed our skills as private and charter captains on both the east coast and west coast of Florida as well as the Bahamas. We like the west coast best.

Probably not the best time of the year to fish in Tampa, but the captain and crew we great even though we only caught one fish.
The boat and equipment was very nice but just not able to find many fish due to the cold weather.

Had a blast with Capt Zac, and Deckhand Nick on the Niche Too. Caught some fresh bait early and popped a few monster King Mack, then stumbled into a few medium size Bonita. Had the usual amount of Grunts and small snapper as we moved around spots to find the big Grouper. My brother ended the day on a secret Grouper hole that pulled out the fish pictured. Our guides were quick to handle all the chaos when the big Bonita and King Mack tried to tie up all the other lines! Thanks for the great day on the water, and helping us make memories!!! We hope to book again soon…
