Westwind Charter Fishing invites you on an unforgettable fishing adventure in the abundant waters of Middletown, New Jersey. Captain Michael Grecco and his crew’s primary goal is to make your fishing trip the best experience you have ever encountered on the water.
Capt. Michael is family-friendly, first-timer friendly and of course highly-experienced-angler friendly. The crew has over 45 years experience plying the waters of the New York Bight south to Manasquan, east to far Rockaway and the western reaches of the great Raritan Bay. They will go where the fish are, and distance is of no concern to them.
The season runs from April 1 to November 30. That is the start and the finish of the Striped Bass season. The best of the Striped Bass is usually from early April until mid-June and mid-October until the end of November. The summer months feature Flounder, Porgy, Black Seabass, Tautog, Lingcod, and Bluefish.
You will fish aboard a 30’ Baja Marine offshore sportfishing boat, originally built in 1995, and restored in 2012. Powered by a 330 HP Cummins engine, with a maximum cruising speed of 22 knots, the boat will get you to your fishing destination quickly.
The vessel is fully equipped with all the USCG approved safety equipment including life jackets and a CPR-trained crew. It features a Garmin GPS, a Furuno fishfinder, two Icom’s, and a Raytheon radar. The boat also has an enclosed toilet and two V bunk beds.
The crew will provide you with fishing gear such as rods, reels, tackle, live and artificial bait, and a fishing license. The mates will clean and fillet your catch at the end of the trip, and you are encouraged to tip them generously as they will also work very hard throughout the trip to make your day successful.
If you are ready for tackling big fish give Westwind Charter Fishing a shot, you will not be disappointed!
