Wow! I was so so impressed with the crew. It’s not billfish season but it’s on my bucket list and these guys pulled out all the stops to try put me on a fish. We changed spots plenty, changed out rigs, all the effort. Alas no knarly marley but as soon as we got to the second rig, a mahi hit. 3 mins later, they bill rigs where out and we were on the Mahi. Just trawling was getting hits but no set hooks so both Captain and Paul were working the rods by hand to get better hook sets. Had we simply kept trawling, we’d have landed maybe one or two.
After a cut-off frow a wahoo, rigs were instantly swapped out agaon to target them and we were in. Lovely wahoo for me, missis had a good fight with a nasty swimmer which unfortunately slipped the hook.
As soon as the bite went off, they pulled up all the lines and rigged up everything, the lines, the teazers everything for them bills.
I have never been on a boat where the crew puts in that much effort to put you on a fish before. If you’re looking for a charter, you’re wasting your money looking any further!

I can’t rate Lucky Penny (Danny and Paul) highly enough. From start to finish the whole day was fantastic. Their knowledge to be able to find the fish and keep us in the action consistently all during the trip was just what you pay the money for (but you don’t always get). Danny and Paul worked so well as a team and Paul was constantly trying new things and tactics to keep us catching. The equipment used and the boat all top notch stuff, no corners cut here. In the end we had 10 Dorado caught and numerous other near misses. I would highly recommend these guys to anybody who wants to take a charter in Barbados waters. I chartered Lucky Penny for a 6hr trip whilst holidaying in Barbados and what a fantastic day it was. Skipper Danny and crewman Randy found me every species I asked to catch. Certainly the best day at sea on the pelagic fish that I’ve had, these guys are top professionals.  Marlin are a sports fish and to be released, but this poor fish’s heart burst so we kept it to eat, sad but at least it did not die in vain.
If you are going to Barbados then do not hesitate to take a trip on Lucky Penny

We chartered Captain Danny and Paul for a 5 hour fishing trip. I said we were interested in catching Dolphin, Wahoo and maybe a sailfish. Captain Danny put us right on the fish. Trawling alongside big patches of Moss we hooked into 15 Dolphin a 25lb Wahoo plus on the way back we caught a 80lb Sailfish. Hospitality was great and the crews knowledge fantastic would thoroughly recommend this Charter.

I would recommend the Lucky Penny to everyone! Great crew and I was able to catch a 7 ft Sail fish!! The captain even filmed it for me! Thanks for a great trip!
