My boat is in a slip at Canyon Lake Marina ready to go. Fishhooks Adventures offers prime fishing on Canyon Lake. Captain Steve Nixon is a veteran angler and a full-time Fishing Guide with over 40 years of experience fishing Canyon Lake. Come join him at Canyon Lake and have the chance of catching a fish of a lifetime! Canyon Lake is known for Striped Bass weighing over 20 pounds.
Your trip will take place on a 26’ Majek Extreme center console that can sit up to 6 guests. The boat runs on a 250 HP Yamaha engine, uses all the latest navigation technology, and is equipped with downriggers. It also features a wireless trolling motor, a livewell, and an ice-box.
The main species you will target here are Largemouth, White, and Striped Bass, as well as Crappie. Using light and heavy tackle, you can attract your prey by bottom fishing, trolling, spinning, and jigging. You are free to keep the fish you catch. The boat is kid-friendly, which gives you the chance to spend a lovely stay in nature with your whole family.
Captain Steve will provide you with all the rods, reels, tackle, as well as lures. You should bring your fishing licenses and whatever food and drinks you want before you start your trip.

great trip
The captain was fun, knowledgeable and so helpful with advice to my kids. They have not fished as much as I (obviously, I'm their mom and OLD). Also, I'm more of a fly fisher so it was great practice for me as well. VERY RELAXING!! Just what we all needed.
