Disco Pirata
Climb aboard the Disco Pirata for a day of great fishing with an English-speaking captain aboard a modern, well-equipped boat. Fish the local waters for hard-fighting Roosterfish and a variety of tasty table species or head offshore in search of big game pelagics like Mahi Mahi, Marlin, Sailfish, Wahoo, and Bluefin Tuna.
However you spend your day, spend it in style aboard the Disco Pirata. This 26’ Sea Swirl sporftishing boat is perfect for hitting the deep waters offshore and is just as at home in the local bays. Built in 2005, she is powered by a reliable 250HP Yamaha outboard and can carry groups of four at speeds of around 20 knots off to the best fishing grounds.
The vessel is equipped with GPS and fishfinder to sound out the best fishing spots, outriggers and downriggers to let you target any species out there, and a livewell and tuna tubes to help lure them in. She also has a portable head for extra comfort on longer trips offshore.
Captain Jorge has been running trips in the area for well over a decade and comes from a family of successful charter captains. He loves to guide anglers of any age or experience level and will show you the tricks and techniques he has built up over a lifetime of fishing.
So whether you want a morning catching some tasty fish for dinner, or a whole day battling monster pelagics offshore, you can trust Captain Jorge and his skilled crew to get the job done.
All trips come with tackle, bait, lures, and licenses, as well as lunch on full day trips. All you need to bring is your camera, your sunscreen, and your A-game, because the fish around here don’t go quietly!

Full Day Trip with Capitain Carlos!
Great day of fishing with Captain Carlos and his first mate Adrian! Within the first hour of the trip Carlos found a school of Mahi Mahi with the help of his friend on the radio. After 30 minutes at this spot we were able to bag four 30-40lb Mahi Mahi. After leaving the Mahi Mahi spot we went a few hours without catching anything but while we were waiting, Adrian cleaned and filleted the Mahi Mahi we caught. The crew also provided us with lunch and drinks. After lunch we caught a nice 120lb sailfish and after a few more hours of trolling, we called it a day. Overall it was a great fishing trip with a great crew!

Full Day Offshore Disco Pirata
What a great trip! Short water taxi to boat then about a 15-20 mile run to our first fishing spot. With 5 mins landed a nice 15lb Mahi. Great start, however no more catches for about 1.5 hours. No worries though, Alex and Jorge were in constant communication with other boats and after another 10 mile run we found ourselves on a huge school of Dolphin and Yellow Tail Tuna. Within an hour we boated 10 monsters, including multiple 30-35lb fighters! Having loaded up we trolled again for large game fish and landed 2 large sailfish between 125-150lbs. This was all before 1pm. Sunny day and we were beat and happy we decided to head back around 2. Easily could have caught another half dozen sailfish as Alex found the birds that led us to the fish. Great crew, great boat, great gear, great fishing! Highly recommend from life long TX fisherman!

Full Day Trip - Offshore
Trip of a lifetime!
Jorge and his boat were amazing! As soon as we got out and started trolling we had this huge sailfish on and within 30 min I had one on too (mine shook the hook but it was amazing seeing them jump!). We then caught these large Mahi Mahi before starting to fish for yellow fin tuna. We followed hundreds of spinning dolphins for hours (this was worth the trip in itself) and in the process we caught 8 large yellow fin! We sent much of the tuna home with the crew and took the Mahi Mahi to our favorite beach bar/grill in a Playa Hermosa Bowie’s Point. It was an amazing trip and worth every penny!! Thanks Jorge, Nick & Fishingbooker!!!!

Salimos a la hora acordada y en poco tiempo estabamos pescando.Al principio la pesca fue lenta (se comunicó con otros botes y nadie estaba pescando),pero no lo dejaron de intentar hasta que dieron con los peces.Al final dos preciosos y grandes peces Vela !!!! Increible!!Y todo en inmejorable compañía!!Estupendo día con dos grandes tipos!!Gracias Carlos y Adrián!!!.Seguro nos volveremos a ver y a pescar juntos.

Half day afternoon trip with Captain Carlos
Both Captain Carlos and his help Adrian made this fishing trip memorable. The long search paid off with the catch, a 40 lbs Mahi Mahi. The fish had taken both baits on 2 lines, my wife and I reeled it in. Adrian prepared and filleted the catch and El Pelicano restaurant prepared and turned it into a superb dinner at the shore.
