You will be going after gorgeous offshore A-listers like Lionfish, King and Spanish Mackerel, Jacks, Barracuda, Squid, and Yellowtail Snapper. Each of these species is challenging and fun to catch, but that's what makes the whole experience more fun. You will get all the spearfishing equipment you need, but it is crucial to be a competent swimmer to fully enjoy these expeditions. After the trip, you will get your catch cleaned and filleted for your convenience.
Johanna can take out up to 8 people, though groups of 4 are the sweet spot for maximum fun and productivity. Kids are welcome to join, as long as they're 8 and older, and of course, are able to swim well. Your guide will have adequate guns for the little ones, though it's highly encouraged to help them with everything until they get the hang of it.

James was an amazing and very knowledgeable host and diver. my 16 year old son had a great time and was able to take a shot on the dive. we will definitely book again the next time we are on Barbados!
First time trying spearfishing. James did a great job explaining everything and making sure we were comfortable and safe. It was the highlight of our trip. Very happy we decided to book.
Fantastic experience! We took The free diving course the first day and then the next day did the spearfishing trip. Hannah was very encouraging of beginners and was a great teacher. Taking the free diving course the first day prior to going out Spearfishing was a huge help. I would recommend going that route for someone whose never been diving or spear fishing. I Would highly recommend Trident Freedivers!
Beautiful day, well guided by Captain Johanna! My son and I loved our experience
Johanna is amazing! Her knowledge of the island, ocean, fish species, spearfishing techniques, diving abilities and techniques were unbelievable. She picked us up from our hotel and drove us to a beautiful location to dive and spearfish along side her. She made sure everyone was comfortable and were able to land a good fish. She is a great person and this is a great trip to take! We will be back and can't wait to see her and dive with her again! 5 stars!

Capt. Johanna has been spearfishing for many years but became a freediving instructor about three years ago. That's also when she started teaching people to spearfish and leading blue water spearfishing tours as well. She used to be a photographer and she still enjoys doing a lot of underwater photography and video. It took a lot of guts and effort to change her whole life around but she couldn't be happier now and it never feels like work for her. Everyone who comes on a tour with her and the crew gets the full experience and you all have a great time together. The captain says it's not just an experience, it's a lifestyle. This is a great way to spear your own dinner and practice selective fishing methods. The crew's looking forward to getting in the water with you soon!
