Unreel Fishing Charters 

Unreel Fishing Charters offers fishing trips off the coast of Nanaimo, Canada. If you want to experience some of the finest saltwater fishing in the world, this is a great chance. You will be fishing for Salmon with Captain Blake. On full day trips, you can also go bottom fishing for Lingcod and Rockfish. Blake will take you out on the waters and make your trip memorable.

Your vessel for the day is a 25’ walkaround of Pursuit make. Powered by a 300 HP Suzuki engine she can reach the speeds of up to 36 knots, and get you quickly and safely to fertile fisheries. The boat is rigged with top-of-the line Lowrance HDS, a fishfinder, and an ice box, has a V-berth and a flush toilet. She also hosts the top-shelf Shimano and Rapala rods, Trophy and Penn reels, as well as Scotty high performance electric downriggers. The boat has a full canvas enclosure, and is made to provide safety and comfort to anglers onboard.

Vancouver Island boats a variety of fish, including Chinook and Coho Salmon. Chinook is one of the strongest fighters in the water, and can grow really big. You will need to hold your tight, as these fellas can pull your line in a split second. If you’re careful, you may land your dream catch.

You need to bring a valid saltwater fishing license when coming onboard. If you manage to subdue the local fish, Captain Blake will clean and fillet your catch, so that you can have a tasty meal afterwards. Before you head out, make sure to pack your necessities, dress comfortably for the trip. You may want to bring seasick medications, snacks, drinks, and sunglasses. You will also want to bring a camera - with all the lush wildlife around the area, your pictures will look great.
