Black and Red Grouper, Mahi Mahi, Cobia, Sailfish, Wahoo, Kingfish, Yellowtail and Mutton Snapper, Skipjack and Albacore Tuna – all these and more await offshore. We will always try our best to keep you and your guests entertained and go for what is biting at the time. Again, it is a good idea to touch base with us prior to your charter to make a game plan between crew and guests.
The 'Southern Comfort IV' is a massive 52' custom-built fishing vessel with plenty of space for up to 10 anglers. She can cruise at a top speed of 30 knots thanks to her twin Cummins engines.
The Southern Comfort IV is fully outfitted with everything you need for a successful trip. She comes complete with stellar gear by Shimano TLD with custom-built bent butt rods to land Tuna, Sailfish, Wahoo, and Mahi Mahi. We use Penn 4/0 outfits for the reef fish. The Southern Comfort IV has all the comforts of home with her clean restroom, freshwater sink, air-conditioned cabin, a Bluetooth multimedia system with speakers to play your favorite tunes.
The captain and first mate split the gratuity, 20% is standard.

Captain Bill and his deckhand Drew delivered an absolutely outstanding fishing trip that exceeded all expectations. From the moment we left the dock, Captain Bill’s experience and calm confidence were obvious, putting everyone at ease and getting us on fish quickly. Drew was nonstop energy—knowledgeable, helpful, and great at coaching both beginners and experienced anglers throughout the day. The boat was well-run, organized, and safe, making the entire trip smooth and enjoyable. If you’re looking for a top-tier fishing experience out of Florida, this is the crew you want on the water.
The Captian and Porter were incredibly professional and helpful. We had a lot of first timers and everyone caught fish. We caught Mahi Mahi and lots of others. We eneded the day on the reef and caught tons of fish. The boat was very clean and big. Was nice for the little ones of our group to be able to go into the air conditioning! 100% will be back!!! Excited for fish tacos tonight!
We had a group of 8 people and we had a great time. the weather was beautiful and the crew was very friendly and fun. We had an awesome experience and I highly recommend booking a trip with Caption Bill!
we went for my brothers bachelor party and i dont think we could have selected a better actuvity for the day time. crew was fantastic, let us be as hands on or off as we wanted. generally a great time. highly recommend for all level of fishers. caught a bunch of fish and they prepared them on the dock for us right after. fish was fantastic as well. well done!
