Troll the offshore grounds or drift fish the wrecks and reefs. Certain species are more prevalent in different seasons, so if you are targeting a specific species, it’s best to call in advance to find out when that time of the year that might be. The best thing about this part of Florida is that you don’t even have to travel too far out to get to deep waters – it’s almost in your backyard.
Black and Red Grouper, Mahi Mahi, Cobia, Sailfish, Wahoo, Kingfish, Yellowtail and Mutton Snapper, Skipjack and Albacore Tuna – all these and more await offshore. We will always try our best to keep you and your guests entertained and go for what is biting at the time. Again, it is a good idea to touch base with us prior to your charter to make a game plan between crew and guests.
The ‘Southern Comfort IV’ is a massive 52’ custom-built fishing vessel with plenty of space for up to 10 anglers. She can cruise at a top speed of 30 knots thanks to her twin Cummins engines.
The Southern Comfort IV is fully outfitted with everything you need for a successful trip. She comes complete with stellar gear by Shimano TLD with custom-built bent butt rods to land Tuna, Sailfish, Wahoo, and Mahi Mahi. We use Penn 4/0 outfits for the reef fish. The Southern Comfort IV has all the comforts of home with her clean restroom, freshwater sink, air-conditioned cabin, a Bluetooth multimedia system with speakers to play your favorite tunes.

Fantastic Family Fishing Trip – Highly Recommend!!

Our family of 7, including 3 teens and our elderly parents, had an absolutely wonderful time on this fishing trip! From the moment we stepped aboard, everything exceeded our expectations. The boat was clean, spacious, and comfortable—with two captain’s chairs in the front that were perfect for relaxing and enjoying the ride. The air conditioning inside the cabin was a huge plus, especially on a warm Florida day, and the restroom was spotless, which made the trip even more pleasant for everyone. Captain Bill and Ben were the perfect crew—friendly, attentive, and full of energy. Ben made sure we had a steady supply of bait and kept the deck immaculate throughout the day. Both he and Captain Bill encouraged us constantly, creating a fun and welcoming environment for everyone, whether it was our teens reeling in their first big catch or our parents soaking in the experience. We caught about 18–20 fish, including mutton snapper, yellowtails, and even a Cero with great help from our crew! The highlight was Ben expertly cleaning all the fish to our specific requests—his attention to detail really impressed us and made preparing dinner later so easy. This was truly a perfect family outing, filled with laughter, excitement, and great memories. We’ll definitely be booking with them again on our next Florida trip. Highly recommend this crew for anyone looking for a top-notch fishing experience!

A Once In a Lifetime Experience

Our family had so much fun on our charter! We caught so many fish (also played tug of war with a shark too!), with our biggest catch being a 33lb Wahoo!! The overall experience was incredible and Captains Bill and Dale made everything so much better with their vast knowledge and experience. We also had three kids with us (10, 10, and 12) and they were amazing at explaining everything to them while also helping keep them safe. The boat itself was perfectly clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our trip! We would definitely recommend booking with them as we plan to book more adventures with them as well!

We had a great time today! We caught a sailfish and a ton of yellowtail snapper. I would 100% recommend booking these guys they r the real deal. Only issue was we had one loser in our group who was throwing up and sleeping the whole time because he couldn’t handle the ocean AKA cpt chum bucket. Definitely book if you want to catch fish.
