Let Bay State Sportfishing organize your fishing trip and get a taste of what Massachusetts inshore angling has to offer you. Captain Ronnie has 25 years of experience, so you’ll hardly find a better guide to take you on new fishing quests.

Choose a half day or a full day trip and come aboard a 33’ Downeast boat, powered by a 530 FPT (Iveco) engine. The vessel can take up to 6 persons to the secret fish hideouts of Quincy, and beyond. She is loaded with all the comforts of home including a full head with shower, AC/heating, generator, refrigerator, coffee maker, a microwave, stereo, and plenty of seating inside the cabin.

On 8-hour trips, you will get out of the harbor, and go as far as 25 miles from the shore. You will catch live bait along the way, which will later help you to catch some big fish like Striped Bass, Bluefish, and Flounder.

Shorter trips are reserved for reeling in smaller fish, and you will also stay within harbor walls, which is perfect if you can’t dedicate an entire day to fishing.

Capt. Ronnie has first-rate rods, reels, and tackle you need thanks to our partners Penn and Pure Fishing. Most of the rods are custom-built and will be your trusty ally in reeling in massive fish. The first mate will also make sure that you’re prepped and ready to hook your next great catch, and he works for tips, so 20% gratuity is expected and appreciated.

Novices, families with kids, experienced anglers — everybody is welcome on Bay State Sportfishing. The captain will gladly share stories and a few laughs with you so that you’re not just fishing but also having a great time. Please note drugs are not permitted onboard and while alcohol is allowed, the captain may choose to end the trip early if anyone gets too inebriated.

Experience inshore fishing in a new and exciting light with Capt. Ronnie and Bay State Sportfishing!

Captain Ronnie is an avid angler with a quarter-century of fishing experience. His brother was the one that got him hooked on fishing, and now Ronnie's keeping it in the family, with his 21-year-old son following in his footsteps. He's been running charters for the past 20 years and is only getting better and more experienced with each year. Captain's specialty is fishing for Striped Bass, and his biggest ever catch was a giant Bluefin Tuna, that weighed 701 lb and took over 3 hours to reel in.
