+38Juneau Adventures invites you to spend a day with Captain Terry White exploring and fishing the waters of Southeast Alaska. Captain Terry has been fishing and whale watching here for 42 years and is able to provide invaluable knowledge and tales of great fish and whales in the area.
The Juneau season starts on May 1st and lasts through mid-September bringing in Halibut, Coho, Chinook, and Chum Salmon, as well as Rockfish. Captain Terry provides all the fishing gear needed to target the fish including rods, reels, tackle, and lures.
Fishing is done aboard the Dano, a 32’ Armstrong Catamaran that is fast and stable. Built in 2008, it has a capacity for up to six guests who will enjoy the spacious walkaround deck and heated cabin. Powered by twin 300 HP Suzuki outboard engines, this boat is very efficient.
The vessel features all the extras needed for a productive trip such as electric downriggers for trolling, an icebox for your catch, a GPS and a fishfinder to locate the best fishing locations, and more. There is an enclosed cabin with two beds, a toilet on board, and a kitchenette.
Juneau Adventures offers 4, 6, and 8 hour Salmon or Halibut charters, as well as 6 and 8-hour Combo trips for both Salmon and Halibut. All charters include snacks, soft drinks, and water, and on the 6 and 8-hour charters, you will even have lunch!
The Whale watching and sightseeing charters last from 2 and a half to 4 hours. We can help you set up round trip transportation, and fishing licenses are available for purchase onboard.

Half Day Halibut on August 20, 2024
We did a four hour fishing trip out of Juneau. The captain, Terry, and the deck hand were great. They were personable and did a great job. The equipment was in great condition and the boat was clean and in great condition. We caught a bunch of halibut that they cleaned and arranged to be shipped home. The cleaning was included, but the freeze and ship is extra. The trip was everything we could hope for. Plus we had great weather which always helps.

Half day halibut PM on July 10, 2024
We had an awesome time fishing with Captain Terry and his first mate, Tim. Everyone caught fish and had to figure out which halibut to keep because we caught so many. We limited out so quickly that we ended up cutting our trip short so we could go see Juneau. We probably could have gone and done whale watching if we wanted. We were on a cruise and only had the afternoon in Juneau, but he was able to accommodate us.

Full Day Trip - Combo on July 1, 2024
Took our family out halibut fishing on the 8 hour trip. Not being from the area it was nice to spend the day on the boat and see the sights. We saw whales multiple times during the day and got some good pictures. We all caught halibut pretty quickly after we go the the fishing spot. We trolled for salmon the rest of the trip and everyone had a good time. Would definitely book another trip.

It was a fun day on the water with John and Tim . They were very knowledgeable on where to go to catch the salmon and halibut. They also were informative on the local area and how the salmon used their route to go spawn and the halibut to use high places on the bottom to catch their food. Thank you guys for a good time.

1st Salmon Fishing Experience!!
Half Day Trip - Salmon (AM) on August 4, 2024
Was a great fishing experience. The only negative would be that everything seemed very rushed. That may be because we got off the ship later than expected which cut into the time we had to fish. Would love to do it again, but with maybe a little more time.
