If you're looking to hook some world-famous species, including a variety of Bass and Catfish, then head down to Brenham, TX, for an incredible angling adventure alongside a captain who was raised on these waters. Get ready for a local-style freshwater fishing adventure!
Capt. Harvey's passion for angling started at a young age. He was born into a family of fishing fanatics, and has explored a diverse variety of fishing grounds, including coastal waters and Texas's many lakes and rivers. He started guiding on Lake Somerville in 2001, and knows exactly what it takes to provide guests with a fun and productive day. He also has some bragging rights under his belt, and has landed 32'' Hybrid Striped Bass on the lake.
You'll be traveling out to the hotspots on board a 23' Lowe pontoon, capable of accommodating up to 4 guests. Children are welcome, so bring the whole family along, or get ready to settle some scores with your fellow freshwater enthusiasts. She's decked out with GPS, fishfinder, and life jackets for all ages. There's a fighting chair to help you battle huge Hybrid Striped and White Bass, as well as outriggers to cover plenty of ground when trolling.
Lake Somerville is famous throughout this part of Texas for being home to some big-name freshwater fish, and Capt. Harvey knows the best spots to hit to reel them in. You'll have the chance to troll and jig for a variety of Bass, Catfish, and Crappie. Never fished before? Captain Harvey and his brother Phillip were awesome. The sun didn’t cooperate as hoped but they did their absolute best to put us on fish all day. In the end we walked away with a good amount of fish. They made my sons 16th birthday a fun day. We’ll be back to fish with them again soon.
Captian and crew made my 6 yr old grandson’s first real fishing trip extremely memerable! would not only book another trip (my grandson is already talking about going next year when he’s with us) but would recommend to anyone - great job!

This was the second time my husband and I went out with Captain Harvey. It definitely will not be the last. He is funny and really loves what he does.
We took my son, his wife, and two boys (4 & 6) fishing on Lake Summerville with Hooked Up charters. They know the lake and put us on the fish. Everyone had a great time catching white bass and a fresh water drum. I would highly recommend using Hooked Up Guide Services and will be a repeat customer.
