Vistaladyfish invites you to spend a day on the waters of the world-famous Chesapeake Bay any day of the year! The crew of Vista Lady follows Striped Bass on the Chesapeake Bay year round, so any time you want to go out is good for them. They know how the fish moves, when it spawns and feeds and are able to use their knowledge and experience to put you on the fish.
Fishing is done aboard their Bay Built Classic boat that can take you and up to five friends fishing. She is 42’ in length with a 13.5’ beam. Powered by a 350 HP Caterpillar engine, with a maximum cruising speed of 20 knots, this boat is steady and fast. It features a fishfinder to locate the fish, an icebox for the catch, a livewell for the live bait, and many safety features.
The vessel is comfortable and therefore suitable for children as long as they are accompanied by adults. There is a toilet on board for your convenience, as well as air-conditioning inside the cabin. With ample deck space and a good amount of shade provided by the cover, this boat is great for all day adventures.
Captain Jeff Popp has fished the waters of Maryland professionally since 1994 and is always up for making the most of the trip for his guests. Jeff will provide St Croix rods, Penn and Shimano reels, tackle, and professional guidance. Your fishing licenses are included and so is the fish processing at the end of the trip.

Great Fishing Trip!
Chesapeake Bay Afternoon Trip on August 10, 2024
We booked a trip for Saturday morning. They were able to accommodate us when a different crew cancelled on us the day before. We weren't sure how the fishing was going to be as a hurricane had passed through the day before. The trip was just my husband and myself. The boat was prefect and Capt Ryan and 1st Mate Kramer were great. Very knowledgeable and funny fellas. We had a great time hanging out with them and we caught a boat load of fish. We have been on trips in several other states and this trip was definitely one of the best. We plan on booking again and taking the kids. Would highly recommend!

Chesapeake Bay Morning trip on August 25, 2024
We were a group of 6 and all of us had a great time. Captain and crew were very efficient and we caught two big sea bass right after we got to the first location. We caught our designated portion within an hour and half after departure. Then we went to other locations to do bottom fishing. Even though we did not catch any small fish we still enjoyed it. One thing that could be improved is that we got back in four hours, but we’d love to stay the full five hours on the boat even if it means for the second half of the trip we did not catch any fish.

Chesapeake Bay Morning trip on June 19, 2025
We left the dock and had lines in the water around 6:15 or so. We were limited out on rockfish by 7:30! Switched it up and went for some catfish and ended up getting 8 keepers. Great day with lots of action. Kramer was a great mate.

We had a great experience with Captain Ryan! We learned a little bit about the area and strategies for finding the right spot. The boat was well maintained, comfortable inside and outside, and we felt right at home. Captain Ryan took great care of us from boarding, catching, cleaning, and getting is back safely. Captain Ryan and Mate Kramer were fabulous. Kramer ran the trip like clockwork. Everything was organized and he stayed with us assisting us and giving us pointers for the entire trip. It was a gorgeous day and we were all successful at catching fish. Each time there was a lull in activity, Captain Ryan moved to a different location. The day was a huge success and we are so grateful to Ryan and Kramer. Looking forward to our next fishing adventure on the Vista Lady. Thank you, Captain Ryan, and Mate Kramer.
