Capt. Al Smith has been mastering the waters of the Great Lake for over three decades now. He is familiar with the methods that work best in the ‘Walleye Capital of the World’ and the honey holes that produce great numbers of fish.
What A Catch and Capt. Al will take you fishing anytime from the beginning of April through October. Whichever species you have in mind, just let Capt. Al know and he will work hard to put you on fish. The list of your potential catches includes Walleye, Yellow Perch, and feisty Smallmouth Bass.
On your day out, you will be mainly concentrating on drift fishing. Capt. Al will provide you with rods, reels, and custom-made lures. All-Inclusive trips are also available with lunch boxes, drinks, fish cleaning, and a first mate to assist you throughout the adventure.
You will go out aboard an impressive Tiara boat – she actually reaches up to 34’, thanks to her 11’ 4 beam, and is made for a smooth and comfortable ride! She was built in 1994, with your comfort in mind, and has proven to be a great vessel for Lake Erie trips.
The boat comes powered by twin 300 HP Crusaders engines to get you to the fishing grounds quickly and safely. There is plenty of room for up to six anglers. You’ll be accompanied by a first mate who’ll help you out with anyything you need – it’s not required, but gratuities are more than welcome. Welcome aboard!

30' Half Day Trip – Walleye on June 26, 2025
Captain Al did a great job with working around the weather and our schedule to allow my family to enjoy a great day on Lake Erie. He is very knowledgeable and a great teacher as none of us had any experience fishing for walleyes. Captain Al is very knowledgeable and had us on fish almost immediately. He is also very patient for those with young and/or inexperienced anglers.

Captain AL and first mate Cam went over and above what was expected. Right from the very first communication right till the day of the trip. Our initial day had t be canceled due to excessive wind and waves, but went over and above to get us rescheduled the next morning. Immediately put us on fish very first cast caught My first walleye. It ended up being a tough day of fishing but they never gave up and managed 12 fish with 3 ppl fishing. I would highly recommend Capt Al and Cam for any family unit. Both where very patient with inexperienced fisher's and Our 9 yr old grandson. I cant recommend what a catch high enough. was such a fun and pleasant experience. If you are on the fence dont hesitate in using them you wont regret it.
