Here at Keepin it Reel Charters we will do whatever it takes to give you a memorable day on the water! We are moored just minutes from the amazing picturesque striper fishing that the north shore has to offer.

Their 26’ Sea Hunt Gamefish is fully-rigged with dual Simrad 12” GPS and Sounders, HD 4G radar, live Sirius weather overlay, Simrad integrated auto pilot, 2 live wells (38 gallon helm and 27 gallon transom), Taco outriggers, JL audio 6 speaker stereo, vapor misters, full cockpit, underwater lighting package, and a large porcelin head.

Interested in catching keepers on light tackle? Pick your choice of gear, as we have sets of Shimano OC Baitrunners paired with Ugly Stik Tiger light rods in sizes of 4000, 6000 and 8000 which we fearlessly pitch live bait to hungry stripers with!

Is it more topwater action you’re looking for? We fish with medium, light-action Ugly Stik Inshore Select rods paired with old-school bulletproof Penn 4300SS spinning reels which make every fish a memorable battle!

Maybe you’re after some great table fare? Try some of my homemade Cod and Haddock jigs as you pull up your limit on the bottom-dwelling brutes.

For those looking for the ultimate adventure, our offshore Shark charters are easily the most exciting trips we offer. Test your strength against these leviathans with stand up harnesses paired with Tiagra 30W’s and Penn 50W’s!

Each of these battles can last anywhere from 30 mins to several hours. In the downtime from these trips, we usually fill the fish box and ultimately your freezer with cod, Haddock, and Pollock.

Whatever you’re after, you can’t go wrong with Keepin It Reel Charters!

Great Day Out!

Had a great day out with Captain Adam. It was my son's birthday gift and he made the day perfect. We caught quite a few fish, got some tips and had a blast. I would absolutely recommend Adam to anyone looking for a good day of fishing.

Hey Dennis, not sure why you "Don't recommend keepin it reel charters".... We caught two dozen mackrel, which we live lined to catch 10ish bass (mostly too large to keep) within the first hour and a half of the charter. We had your limit of bass in 45 minutes. Even with live mackrel in the livewell, tons of fish under us and double hookups happening, you requested we go haddock fishing because we couldn't keep anymore bass, and you wanted to "fill the cooler." So, I took you guys an hour north off of Rockport to a favorite spot. Before we left, I explained that the haddock would be in cooler deeper water this time of year, which would require jigging 20oz+ sinkers in 200ft+ water, which you were fine with. When we got to the spot, I immediately noticed due to a 10 to 15mph wind and 2 to 3 ft chop, you were having severe issues keeping your balance, and I was HIGHLY concerned for your safety. We only fished for about an hour at this spot (where I only briefly left your side) before I decided we needed to move to calmer waters before you fell. In the hour there, even with you taking several breaks, you both caught a dozen haddock 2 keepers the rest shorts in about 175ft of water. If we had fished in the colder deeper 220ft water with heavier sinkers like I wanted, we would have been much more productive, but that obviously was not an option. When I moved us, I moved us to a more sheltered area closer to shore which unfortunately but not surprisingly, didn't produce any haddock only large cod which were out of season. After all of this, I offered / recomended to take you back bass fishing which you refused and wanted to go for bluefish so that you could keep them even after me explaining that we would be fishing blindly as I had no idea if they would be around. I spoke with you on the phone for 15 mins several days before the charter and could not have been any more transparent with you that this was the wrong year / time of year to "fill the cooler". I explained that certain fish had heavy restrictions, other fish were out of season, and other fish would be more difficult to catch. I also told you we could come in at any time if the fishing wasn't productive. Sorry I didn't meet your expectations, but I did my best with the limited cards I had dealt.

Half day striper fishing

VERIFIED

We spent a glorious day on the boat with Captain Adam Mastrangelo fishing for striped bass. I had previously fished last year using heavier fishing tackle with wire lines. Catching fish was not that exciting using this technique. I had spoken with Capt Adam about wanting to use light tackle for this fishing experience and he obliged. We went out chasing the birds on the horizon and the blitz of schooling stripers in engaged in a feeding frenzy on the bait fish. It was extremely fun to use the light tackle rods and a variety of lures. The captain was well versed on the variety of lures that the fish were hitting on. After catching numerous school stripers 15 - 25 inches we then caught live mackerel to be used as bait for larger striped bass. We fished in a variety of areas off points along the shore. We all caught fish that day and had a fabulous time out on the waters of Marblehead, MA. The boat was extremely comfortable and versatile and we quickly got to our fishing grounds in under 15 minutes. I would highly recommend fishing with Captain Adam Mastrangelo and his boat in Marblehead.
