Vintage Fish Company
For your next vacation or trip to the New Hampshire seacoast, you should definitely book a trip with veteran and local Captain Adam Baker, owner of Vintage Fish Company. Located between Hampton Beach and Portsmouth and only an hour from Boston, Rye Harbor and Vintage Fish Company are easy to get to. Your day will be spent fishing in the Gulf of Maine where most trips we’re fortunate to see wales, seals and other cool marine life.
You will depart Rye Harbor aboard F/V Valhalla, a 35’ RP downeast boat that is wide and stable and made for offshore fishing. There’s plenty of room for everyone on the deck and in the cabin. Captain Adam or Captain Shawn will take you to the fishing grounds, while the mate gets your gear ready. Ruby will show you around the boat, keep you company and likely sniff your bag for anything she thinks is food. Be sure to ask Captain Shawn about some of his tournament winning marlin caught during his fishing career in Kona, Hawaii.
Depending on which trip you choose, you’ll either be targeting Bluefin Tuna or Cod, Haddock, Pollock, Redfish, Cusk and occasionally a Halibut. We only use top quality gear and even your fishing license is included. The captain and mate will help you bait the hooks and bring the fish onboard. And after your day of fishing, the mate will fillet your fish so you can enjoy your catch. Don’t forget to tip the captain and mate after the trip. Gratuity is customary and appreciated.
Children are welcome to come along and there are life vests available for them. There is water in our cooler for you, but you can bring other drinks with you, including beer, but the captain reserves the right to limit the consumption of alcohol at any time. Hard spirits should not be brought onboard and we ask that you not bring glass bottles.
