Terry's Guide Service LLC
Terry's Guide Service LLC is a fishing charter that does regular fishing trips in Upper Galveston Bay, 20 minutes from Houston, Texas. It is owned and operated by Captain Ken Terry, who has more than 25 years of experience fishing these waters and is eager to show you what fishing these waters is all about. All anglers are welcome aboard, as are group trips.
You will be fishing on a 24' Kenner boat, that is powered by a 250 HP Mercury Pro XS engine, that can have it going up to an impressive 48 knots. Apart from all the necessary safety and navigation gear you would need for a good trip, the boat also has a wireless trolling motor for when you need to run silently.
Captain Ken offers full day and half day Boat fishing trips in the Upper Galveston Bay waters, where you will be targeting fish like Black Drum, Flounder, Redfish, Sheepshead, Trout, and more. Captain Ken also offers trips to individuals that prefer wading sandflats, reefs and shorelines. His personal favorite is going after aggressive schools of Redfish and Trout with a big topwater lure.
The price of the trip includes rods, reels, and terminal tackle, and it is up to you to bring a current fishing license with a saltwater stamp. Those who want to go on a wading trip will need to bring their own waders and assorted gear. Captain Ken will clean your catch after the trip so you don't have to. Make sure to also pack a pair of polarized sunglasses, some food and drinks if you're so inclined, and you're all set.
Live bait provided for an additional market price.

Captain Ken was great - Good guy - good conversations. Everything went smoothly. We caught a lot of different of fish - we changed locations when it made sense. The boat was comfortable cutting through waves and wakes easily. Could not have been a better experience. Highly recommended.

Thank you for the favorable review and the opportunity to share some time on the water with such fine people. I really liked hearing about the University of Arkansas and as a Razorback Fan....."Pigs sueeeee"
We had a trip that wasn't going well. Not Capt. Terry's fault the fish just weren't biting. For hours. He refused to give up and kept going to different spots until BAM, there they were. He turned a poor day fishing into a great experience for my son. Taught him a lot, was a great all-around guy, and just as pleasant as could be. Plus we came home with great filets and recommendations on how to cook them. He was right, they were delicious. His wife was right, the backbone meat was fantastic. Can't recommend this guy enough and I'll be booking again around Christmas.

I certainly appreciate the review. Man, a tough day but can't say enough about ya'll sticking it out with me. Glad we got a few Reds and father - son memories.
Amazing trip!! Capt Terry was absolutely amazing! We have an 11&8 year old and he is absolutely amazing with kiddos. Super patient, and boy does he put you on some fish!! His communication pre trip is top notch. Amazing experience and we will definitely be coming back

Great family! I really enjoyed my time on the water with you all & especially seeing everyone hooking up. Let's get out there again soon!
Decided to take my niece, sister and Dad on fishing trip while we were in town for the holidays. This was my nieces first time fishing and my sister's first time fishing in almost 40 years. The captain Ken was able to put us on fish all day and did a great job explaining what to do and how to do it. We ended up catching over 20 fish and my niece caught the largest fish a 36 inch monster. I highly recommend booking with Ken!

You guys were such a great group. Most of the fish were either a little too short or too big per Texas Fishing laws. Nevertheless some stayed in the box and it was awesome seeing the young lady wrestled that monster. Blessings to your family Sir.

despite a little weather, the captain put us on the fish. very nice boat. enjoyed every minute.

Thank you for the review. Glad to box some fish before the bad weather came in. Let's go again soon!
