BKK Fishing Tour – Giant Catfish/Siamese Carp
Let your angling ambitions take you to the exotic Thailand waters — catch some of the most vibrant and gargantuan species this corner of the world has to offer. There’s nothing like exploring the natural wonders with an experienced guide leading the way, and Mr. John Ang with BKK Fishing Tour is just the right guy!
He holds a record for Giant Snakehead (26 Ib) and specializes in freshwater fishing. Mr. John Ang has been fishing these waters for more than a quarter of a century and he gladly shares that vast experience with both veterans of the sea and first-time anglers.
Your adventure will start in Bangkok — John will pick you up from your hotel and then drive you to the lake for eight incredible hours of fishing fun. He can take large groups, but 2-4 anglers are the sweet spot.
He’ll work his hardest to put you on brag-worthy trophies, such as Giant Snakehead, Giant Mekong Catfish, Giant Siamese Carp, Arapaima, and Featherback. Your weapon of choice will be heavy tackle and John will teach you all the tricks and hacks for landing the biggest catch. Please note that he supports a strict catch-and-release policy.
He has the best professional gear in store for you, by top brands such as Shimano. All tackle and fishing licenses will be included in the price, along with delicious traditional Thai food and refreshments. John’s wife is his first mate and she’ll be there to help you with everything you need. GoPro videos and photos are also something you can expect!
If you have any second thoughts about bringing your kids, don’t hesitate — there’s no minimum age, just attend to your little ones while reeling in the giants.

Full day Giant Catfish/Siamese Carp with John
It was my first time fishing giant fish and I couldn’t do it without John, ended up with 5 carb + mekong. John picked us up at 7:30am then straight to the fishing pond. There are food, drinks and other equipments that you can buy. John provided 2 rods for different sizes of fish, basically you don’t need to prepare much but just your mindset and body strength to fight the giants. I learned a lot from John about fishing skills.
