Spot Stalker LLC – Mosquito Lagoon
Spot Stalker Charters invites you to an exciting fishing trip in the backwater areas and flats of Mosquito Lagoon. Mosquito Lagoon is located primarily in the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge and will allow for some great scenery and an occasional rocket launch from the NASA complex which is located on Merritt Island. Captain Todd Vivian will have you fishing the mangrove-lined shorelines of the lagoon and around the spoil islands of the Indian River, showing you the best fishing spots.
You will be fishing aboard a Back Country 161 Ghost that’s powered by a 90 HP Mercury engine and a Minn Kota trolling motor that helps it navigate shallow waters with ease. It comes with GPS, a fishfinder, and all the necessary essentials for a fun and productive trip.
Captain Todd has decades of experience fishing in the eastern part of Florida and can accommodate beginners and veteran anglers alike. Some of the fish species you are likely to encounter on a trip are Redfish, Trout, Mangrove Snapper, and Black Drum. Those who like to catch their fish on the fly should let the captain know, so he can furnish them with fly fishing gear if necessary (2 person max).
The price of any trip will include rods, reels, and terminal tackle, as well as the necessary fishing licenses and water. Make sure to bring your own lunch if you’re up for a snack during the trip, along with a pair of sunglasses and a hat so you can fish in comfort.
