River People Guides
RiverPeople Guides is a small, guiding business that runs guided fishing trips in Calgary, Alberta, and Patagonia. With Captain Osman Hamzic as your guide, you can look forward to a memorable time in places that include the Rocky Mountain streams as well as the upper and lower Bow River, truly sights to behold.
You will find available packages for both regular drift boat trips, as well as jet boat and wading trips. RPG consists of 5 guides who have decades of fishing experience and we can guide up to 10 people.
While Bow River is certainly beautiful, as you can see from the photos, nothing compares to actually seeing the landscape in person. The lower Bow River, is the place to go if you're looking to catch some world-class Trout.
Captain Osman is a passionate fly fisherman and will be happy to exchange tips and tricks with all his guests. The price of any given trip includes fly fishing gear, PFDs, coaching, snacks, nonalcoholic drinks, and shuttle service. You will need to bring a standard province license, as well as a pair of polarized sunglasses and a hat.
If you prefer using your own gear, feel free to bring your own fly fishing gear or spin casters and artificials (a strict 'no live bait' policy is in force). You will be served a delicious hot lunch on the riverbank on full day trips and, if requested, on jet boat trips.

I have been fishing before I could walk according to my parents. My dad is to this day an avid angler and needles to say he was solely responsible for passing over the fishing bug on to me. I stopped fishing for a short period through out my college and Canadian Army years. However as soon as I graduated and retired from the army (in good standing) the beauty and the energy of the Rocky Mountain glacial rivers and the size/beauty of the fish living in it, reignited my passion for fishing. Additionally the art of fly fishing and everything that comes with it which brings me to realize that I will never stop learning about it i.e the fish, reading the water, insects, tying flies, rowing the boat is another reason why I am an avid fisher and like to spend my time with the family on the river hence the name RiverPeople Guides.
