DRboats is a great, family-friendly charter on the beautiful coastline of Croatia, ready to cater to your needs. The reefs and wrecks surrounding the waters of Umag are teeming with great catch for you and your family.
The vessel is a 22’ Galeb Araus, capable of holding 6 anglers at the same time. It’s powered by a 20 HP Perkins engine, a capable unit to carry you across the blue. The boat is equipped with a toilet for added comfort while out on the water. A modern fishfinder and GPS systems are also available onboard, to help you find the hottest catch around.
Captain Davor has close to two decades of experience as a professional fisherman. He’s also an avid diver and speaks 4 foreign languages (German, Italian, English and a little bit of Russian). His great passion is teaching children the joys of fishing and getting them hooked while they’re young.
This charter goes out to the local reefs and wrecks and goes after the smaller Mackerel, Redfish or Conger Eels, perfect for younger kids to be able to reel in. The duration of the trips, as well as the locations fished, are oriented towards first-timers and family fishing trips, where the kids don’t have their sea legs just yet. The techniques used on this trip are light tackle, bottom fishing and trolling, perfect for newcomers.
The charter provides all equipment required for fishing techniques on this trip. Snorkeling equipment is also made available. Drinks are complimentary, sodas and juices. After the trip the crew will clean and fillet your catch, so you can enjoy the fruits of your labor on the shore.

Captain Davor is a friendly, knowledgeable host who was personable, made good small talk and jokes but also gave sufficient downtime to just zone out and also space for his guests. His English was more than sufficient and conversations were varied and interesting. The experience itself was overall enjoyable and worthwhile. We took home enough fish for two meals for our small family of three despite not actively fishing throughout the entire duration of the experience.

I came on a solo fishing trip to Croatia and wanted to fish with someone who understood the area. Davor was that person. The fish we caught were small, but they were a variety of species and I could still take some home to try out a new recipe. He educated me on the methods of fishing, species, and area overall. We also had great conversation!

Capt Davor was an excellent guide and had all the equipment necessary for a great day on the water for myself and my family. Very friendly and good with the kids. We learned a few things along the way and we will book another trip with him next time we go out to Croatia. Highly recommended.

Es war sehe entspannt, der Kapitän war sehr zuverlässig und super erklärende. Ich selber hab ca 20 Jahre Erfahrung was zum Thema Fischen angeht, aber der Kapitän hat mir so viele Tricks gezeigt wo meine erbeuten vereinfachte hat. Also wer mal was außergewöhnliches beim Angeln haben möchte, sollte es mal ausprobiert:) PS.: ich hab 5 schöne fische gefangen und es mur danach gut schmecken lassen :)

Captain Davor Rasin is such an avid fisherman that you could say he was born on the sea. A professional fisherman for over 17 years, he is also an excellent diver. His one dream was to become a Captain and now, he made that dream a reality. Capt. Davor loves teaching people the beauty of fishing, especially children. He's great at not only showing the young first-timers how to rope in a keeper but also how to have a great time on the open water.
