Grand Slam Charters invites you down to the Key Largo to enjoy incredible game fishing in the shallows flats, murky backcountry, and sheltered bays of the Upper Florida Keys. These waters are home to a diverse range of inshore game fish, with every species on the IGFA’s Inshore Grand Slam list present for much of the year and plenty of seasonal visitors, too.

Spend your trip battling Tarpon, Bonefish, Permit, and Snook on the hunt for a super grand slam, or just enjoy a day of great food fishing for Redfish, Trout, and Mangrove Snapper. Whatever you’re after, you’ve come to the right guy. Captain Josh has been guiding these waters for 20 years, and his boat has been custom-rigged for awesome flats fishing.

Captain Josh runs an 24’ Pathfinder boat, which was made in 2008, but started to be used just now and cruises at almost 40 knots thanks to her Yamaha outboard. When combing the shallows, her stealthy trolling motor will get you right on top of the fish before they even know you’re there. You’ll spot them easily, though, with a sturdy sight casting platform to get the best view of the water.

All Grand Slam Charters trips come with quality Shimano reels and Star rods. You will be given a selection of lures and plenty of live bait to keep you going all day long. At the end of your trip, all you catch will be cleaned and filleted, ready to cook up as you celebrate the day’s top catches and mourn the ones that got away.

Grand Slam Experience!

3/4 Day Trip on December 29, 2025 • 4 adults

Captain Josh promptly arrived at the pick up location and we proceeded to catch some bait. Josh modified our trip to take advantage of the weather and fishing conditions. Stopped at 2 reefs and limited out on Mutton Snapper then headed out for some larger fish. Family caught several Yellowtail and Rainbow runners to end the day. Josh cleaned all the fish and recommended a local restaurant to prepare dinner. Family feast of days catch ensued and the day was complete. Memorable experience for our family and would absolutely recommend Grand Slam Charters for guided fishing in the Keys.

This was our second trip With Captain Josh and he did not fail to put us on the fish. We fished the back waters for what ever was biting, we moved from spot to spot to stay on a catch. Josh is easy to talk to and loves to give you helping tips. I would recommend Josh for a day on the water.

We had a fantastic day, fish were tough to come by due to a cold front, but Captain Josh found us some. We had bottle nose dolphins literally right next to the boat and numerous shark species right next to the boat. Captain Josh has a wealth of knowledge and about the ecosystem of Florida Bay and Everglades national park. My 15 year old son and I had a great day being out on the water with Captain Josh and I would recommend him to anyone looking to have a great day on the water, not only fishing but the total experience especially if you've never been flats fishing in south Florida. Thanks again Captain Josh and we will definitely be contacting you next time were in South FL!!

Outstanding 12:30 trip with Captain Josh

I wanted a fun, action packed fishing trip for my 18 year old daughter and I. Captain Josh delivered and then some. Caught a ton of fish the whole trip and missed a ton more (Sorry Capt :-) Our snappers were expertly cleaned and packaged. An hour or so later we had our fish prepared Key Largo style at Sharkey’s thanks to the Captain’s recommendation. Top 5 fish dish we ever ate. Don’t hesitate to fish with Josh, outstanding experience from start to finish.

3/4 Day Trip - Night Fishing on February 14, 2020 • 2 adults

Great trip . Mosquitos were a little intense at times, caught several types of fish. We did catch and release. Saw manatee's and even had a shark eat one of my fish before I got it to the boat , Awesome . Went to several locations. Captain Josh was great made us feel very comfortable. He was very knowledgeable of the area and fish. Showed us several technics and was very patient. Excellent trip would definitely recommend. But if you want more sights don't go at night. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
